A Tree and a Swing - Gift

So, as the name says this one's a gift. I hope it was liked.

Drawing landscapes hasn't really been my thing, but once I got the image of this picture in my mind I just knew I had to try to do it. Working with the iPhone game I've talked about before in my journal here really helped with some aspects of the picture, as I was able to use some of the techniques I had learned while working on the game.

The picture itself was more or less crafted around the tree and the girl on the swing. The tree was also undoubted the most difficult thing to draw and I found myseld fixing it multiple times while drawing. I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it has to do. I hope it'll look alright nonetheless. Then one thing I'm more happy for is the sky. That, too, was redrawn a couple of times, but I think I was able to find a good way to draw it. I didn't want to leave a large "open" space to the picture, and these clouds fit the spot perfectly.

Oh, and the season is Autumn, because that's when I started drawing the picture. I know, I'm not all that fast, but there's been a lot going on with school. It was also hard to find time and motivation at the same time, but thanks to the one I drew this for, that issue got solved too. I think it's easier to finish your drawings, when you do them for someone. I also think that might bring out the best of your skill, which I hope happened with this one. I'm happy with the result at least.
